About Us
I'm a car nut, or is that I'm nuts about cars? Either way I have loved cars since I learned how to drive, and shift in my Dad's 1952 MG TD. My first car was a 1937 Chrysler 2 door coupe with a rumble seat. My current weekend car is a 1984 Ferrari 308.. I won't say it makes a lot of noise with its custom exhaust, but my wife says she can hear the car two blocks away.
Along the way I have also played a role in car clubs as a past member of the Porsche Club of America, the Maserati Owners Club of North America, president of a car club in Bellingham Washington, current member and former Vice President of the San Diego Jaguar Club, former member Car Club Council of the San Diego Auto Museum, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Ferrari Owners Club of San Diego, California.
One thing I must admit however is that sports cars and exotic cars are not practical. I can't jump in my Ferrari and take my wife and two dogs (one weighs 105 lbs and the other 103 lbs) to our favorite dog park for a romp. I can't go to the local store and pick up groceries or a medium size box and bring it home. They just won't fit in my sports car. So for practical purposes, like going out to dinner with another couple, I need a practical car. My choice over the years has been Honda. I have owned a Honda Civic wagon, a Prelude (that I used to tow a 16 foot sail boat with) and an Accord which was sold when I sold a business last year.
Two things I have noticed in talking with other car enthusiasts are that they all want something that looks a little different and sets them out from the crowd, and no matter how powerful their car is, they want more horsepower. So I decided if I and my friends all wanted the same things from our vehicles, perhaps I could satisfy us all with a specialized business.
That's why I started Exotic Motor Sports. Down the road I will be offering specialized parts for exotic cars, but from a realistic standpoint I have to start with a car brand and model that has more people making specialized after market parts than Italian exotic cars. Based on my ownership experience, and what my next car will be, I chose Honda Accord, and I decided that I would create a niche business devoted only to Accords.
This is that business Accord Mania. I wanted to put my car passion behind products that would help my friends and you enhance your driving experience. If you do not see the products that you are interested in on my web site, please let me know by clicking the Contact Us button at the bottom of this screen and I will do my best to find and add them to our offerings.
As I said when I started this About Us, I love cars and talking to people who also love cars.
